Bio for Rev. Thomas A. Dingwall
Raised in Albany, New York. Began working with youth in 1977, as a Junior High School and evening religious teacher, working with young men and women dealing with common issue that most teens face daily, and some issues that neither teens nor adults should ever face. I taught from the Word of God, how it can meet their needs then and in the future. How it can guide them in making the right, sound, moral, ethical and honest decisions.
While studying for the ministry I was privileged to serve on the team for the Albany Billy Graham Crusade, and one evening I was invited to sit with Billy on the platform of the Pepsi Arena during the crusade. Billy has been an inspiration to me as the example of integrity, honesty and ethics.
Through the years I have taught children for 1 year old to 90 years old, we’re all children compared to eternity. I have a passion to see lives changed for the good, to train up young men and women to follow the straight path that leads to life. I’ve been a mentor, tutor, Boy Scout leader and more.
To my chagrin, over these last 38 years I have seen a great degeneration in morals, ethics, respect, honor, and honesty from the Executive Branch of Government to local Law Enforcement to our educators to the parents. Our children are taught by word and deed that anything goes. The rights of our citizens, provided for us under the First Amendment to the Constitution, have be twisted and used to abuse its citizens by our very own leaders.
Our Declaration of Independence states…
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
The five pillars of the matrix of liberty (faith, morality, law, education, and liberty) are the pillars our forefathers founded this nation on. These pillars were the corner stone for our Constitution and Declaration of Independence. Today, there are those in the arts, commerce and government who wish to eradicate those freedoms.
Thirty years ago I had a dream. I saw myself on a platform preaching to a crowd of about 200 people. The problem it wasn’t a church. Only the framing was up on the building, it was much longer then wide, and it didn’t look like a church at all. About a year later, during a dark time in my life I was asking God to take me out of my struggles. That night I had another dream. This time I was on a boat of some sort, there had to be twenty others on board with me. The boat was sailing toward something like the sun. Everyone was happy. Then the captain turned around and directed me to look back. There on the shore were thousands of people. The captain then said, if you go they will never hear the good news. It was then I realized it was Jesus speaking to me. Since that dream my life has been involved with many great works, I’ve learned much, been through many trials and had my heart directed toward young adults and their future. I successfully created, and directed youth groups. I started a pre-teen youth group that began with only 4 but grew, within a few months, to 40, from all walks of life.
About 10 years ago I felt a need to create a youth, young adult, ministry to train young men and women to be responsible, moral, ethical, and responsible adults. I dreamt and designed a facility, a number of facilities across this nation to provide just such a training. It was when I finished the drawing, a building shaped like a cross with the main part a gymnasium, that I realized that my dream of 30 years ago was me standing at the end of the gymnasium. Today, the dream, the vision, is coming true.
Today, more than ever, we need honest, moral, responsible leaders, in the factories, on the farm, in the classroom, in law enforcement, in legal professions, in government, and everywhere.
On September 10, 2023 we officially launched New Wine Church and are dedicated to teaching the Word of God to anyone the Lord sends.
